Suprise Tea Party

I had to include the story of our "Suprise Tea party" (Suprise for me) last Wednesday.
It all started the Fri before. Kate somehow got into her head that some friends were coming over for a tea party. But I didn't know what she was talking about. Then when no one came I just forgot. Well she sure didn't, everyone she saw that she knew from then on was being invited to her "tea party". So I am not even sure who all she told and talked with. She always said to them "it's today! You can come over to my tea party!" So finally I had heard about it enough & on Wed morning I said, "ok, we'll have a couple of your friends come over and have a little "Tea Party" (she was not happy when I said "a couple" she wanted "ALL" her friends) I told her we'd do it when the elem. school got out later at about 4:00. She was all happy and excited!
She started "planning". She was like, "ok first we'll play this game and then we'll have a horse race... but with real horses!" ??? :) All along I was like ok, it will not be too bad, just a couple friends for like 1 hr and that's it.
Well, After pre-scholl (@2:30)I got a call from my friend Jess and her daughter Anna was freaking out because she said she was "missing Kate's party... It's right now!!!" I explained and told her to bring her by at 4pm. We just invited 4 friends and Emily had a friend here. Jack Jack! :) They all dressed up and we had some ice cream. They jumped on the tramp and had fun. But, by the time it had been about 45 min. I was going kind of nuts because of how loud it was and my back was killing me. It turned out good, but I was also a little mad at Kate for spinging this Suprise Party on me. ( I just forget that I can't take much running around without starting to have major back aches) So we had fun, but afterward had a talk about Planning a party before you get permission to have a party!
:) I think Kate must be like me, I love having get togethers and planning parties etc! I guess it's partly my fault too!
This Picture is Jack Jack - who had way more fun dressing up than most of the girls!! (it's also the only pic I got)

Funny. That sounds just like Connor. He has been talking about having a star wars party and inviting all these kids over (We're talking even nine and ten year olds). I told him he could have a star wars party with a few friends and he wasn't too thrilled about it.

It's a good mom who indulges their child in these kinds of things. Glad it was fun for them. Gotta love kids!

Sounds like a lot of fun. They are super cute about how excited they get! She is darling and I must say she does take after her mommy :) Sorry it was harder on you, but it sounds like it was a HUGE success!
