Here we are getting to hold her for the first time after they wrapped her up and put goop in her eyes to avoid an infection.
Kate holding her for the first time - She was SO excited!

3 Sisters!!Party of five !!!!! We welcomed little Lindsey on Dec, 28th at 2:38 P.M. she is 7 lbs 10 oz. and 21 inches long. She was about a week early but healthy and ready to come into this world. She came here on her own free will and we were not induced on this date even though we originally hoped for this day. Sally tried to help things a long by taking some caster oil, which she has never had the guts to take before. At 9pm on the 27th after all that walking around she took 3TBS of the nasty stuff! At about midnight she woke up with major flu like symptoms – along with all the fun in the bathroom that comes with caster oil (if you don’t know, it’s intended purpose is to help clean out your bowels but it also helps get contractions starting). It was strange because not only was she really warm and sick, but she also felt like she couldn’t breathe well. Like she was gasping for air! Then the chills came on! It was crazy until after 1am and then she fell asleep. Only to have major contractions start around 3:30 – they were long and hard ones, then they got closer and more consistent so Sally woke me up at about 6:00 Sunday morning to get ready to go in. (She had contractions for 4 nights previously so it was the real thing this time!) But trying to get Kate and Emily ready was another thing. We finally got in there about 8:30ish. They checked her and she was dilated to a 4 and 80-90% effaced. They wanted to wait another hour to see if she was dilating more so we we took a walk around the labor ward, and it barely worked. She was progressing but SLOWLY. When they checked her again she was a 5, so we got into a delivery room and they broke her water – this was at 12:30pm (it took them a while to get us into a room). Right after that, she was heading out with no one to stop her. The contractions got worse so she got the epidural and it kicked in at about 2pm – but at about 2:10 the contractions were really low and she felt a lot of pressure. After calling the nurse and thinking – “she better get in here, this baby is coming!” she was “complete” (10cm & 100% effaced) the nurse ran around getting all the delivery stuff ready and called the Dr. (Dr. Lloyd) – our Dr was not on call that day. We were ready to go when who pops his head in.... Dr Terry, he had made the trip just to deliver our baby (of course I am sure there were a few other babies he delivered that day ☺) He was in his church clothes ( I guess he’s a bishop – a side note by Sally – it was strange, I was laying there and Ryan was over with Lindsey as they took her weight etc. and the Dr. mentioned that he had just finished with a meeting and told me he was a bishop and I mentioned I was the primary president – it was the most awkward time do talk about that – while he was there stitching up the episiotomy he so kindly gave me ☺) So as Dr. Terry changed into his “greens” Dr. Lloyd told Sally “don’t push! I’ll just make sure she doesn’t come out” he basically had to hold her in. So after the epidural was finished, within a half an hour we got little Lindsey. Once her water was broken everyone had to be right on their toes because Lindsey wasn't waiting for anyone. She is gorgeous and perfect. She definitely has a big pair of lungs and knows how to use them. We know that she will give us some fun nights. Even Kate and Emily when they were here to visit her would cover their ears when she wasn't happy. Cute, Cute, Cute. We love her so much and Daddy has three girls who all have him wrapped around their fingers and one gorgeous wife that he adores.
