Kate Turns 6!

Kate has turned 6 and she's MILKING it for all it's worth! ( I think she's still telling us things like... but it's my birthday, I don't need to clean up etc... Poor thing, she must not get enough attention -Ha! )

She had a great birthday party, it was a joint party with her friend Maddi.  Maddi's Mom Randi and I planned it and I think it turned out fun!  One pretty cool part was that Randi was able to get a sno-cone maker and a Tiki hut for Free!  That along with all the other decor I borrowed from Anita made it look amazing!

At the party they learned to Hula, did the Limbo, played "30" with a beach ball.  And the highlight was going in the hot tub at night!!  We also filled up a little pool with water... cold compared to the hot tub and they would just jump in the cold and run back over to get back in the hot tub!

Gotta love Emily's Socks!

Here is the cake I made, I had so much fun making it, I even made little Ipods for them and I cut the hair on one of the dolls to match Kate's.  :) 

Kate and Emily are in School!!

2009 is an exciting year for both Kate and Emily!  They both have been SO excited to start school!  Kate started on Aug 25th and she was on D track, then 2 weeks into her class she was switched over to A track with a new teacher.  Yes, i was not too pleased with this at first...actually that is putting it lightly... but after looking at the A track schedule and everyone we know on it, and seeing that her class size went to 18 students from 27... decided to embrace it and deal with the change so that Kate was not affected.  We got excited about it and now it's been a week and she really likes her new teacher!  We'll see how the rest of the year goes, I am hopeful that it will be GREAT!

I'll need to get a picture of them together and post it here.  But her are the pictures I took from her first day.

Emily started on Tuesday Sept 8th!  And She was so excited! It was so funny to see her because for the last few weeks that Kate went to school Emily has reminded us that Kate's not the only one going to school!!!  She would get the biggest smile on her face when we'd pass her pre-school teachers home.  Mrs Adrianne!  So far she LOVES it!! :)
