I am actually writing this 6/22/09 1 year after my Dad passed away. I wanted to write about what all happened so I can remember everything. Here is the news story that was on KSL

Marc Giauque reporting

The family of a Sanpete County man whose body was found in a car on I-15 is hoping to find some answers.

When Arthur Glenn Eves didn't show up at his daughter's house, she knew something might be wrong. The 74-year-old had some mental health problems, including some possible dementia.

Sunday, a family friend found Eves' car along I-15 at 800 North. His body was inside.

Daughter Anita Cripps says the vehicle had been tagged by the Utah Highway Patrol. She says the patrolman told them he'd looked inside.

"He said he did that and he saw that there was a map, ‘cause my dad had a map there on the passenger seat, and he said he saw that," Cripps said. But he said he didn't see Eves.

Cripps says he was in good physical health. They think he may have fallen asleep after the car ran out of gas last night, and then succumbed to the daytime heat inside the car.

"We're glad he's OK, that he's happy now, maybe. You know, he isn't so confused anymore and he's in a good place. And we know he loves us and we love him so much," Cripps said.

Some of the grandkids - just a cute picture!
Kate and I next to the casket - she was just giving me a big hug! I needed it!
Little Emily! Final Goodbye!
It started to rain just as we finished up and then all the sudden it was coming down in buckets and everyone was running for their life. 2 days ago Kate said: "Mom ya know how it was raining when we were at grandpa's funeral outside? It wasn't rain, it was Jesus crying!"
These were the framed pictures that my parents always had up on the wall - aren't they cool! All the pictures are of us when we were younger too.

5 of the 7 girls and my Mom taken on Fri - I think.

Chris, Sara, Dave, Me, Rebecca, Anita, Robin, Liz & Dan (not in order of age - Bev and Jay are missing from this one. We were at the Viewing Sunday night.

After the Viewing Sunday night we all slept at My parents house in Fayette and we had a lot of fun staying up talking. This is what we call a great double chin picture!

My sister -in law has a button machine and they made buttons. All the grandkids wore them with pride!!

Well, we have been doing pretty well lately... considering! I really think having the funeral and having all of my family near was great medicine for us all. Although we are all just completely worn out from all the commotion.
The one thing I can say is how grateful I am that we know where our loved ones go and that they are greeted by their loved ones who've gone before and also by Christ! It is so wonderful to know that my Dad is happy and free from his earthly trials! (And boy did he have a lot!) But he had a lot of great and happy things in his life also! I know that we will see him again and because of the atonement we can live together forever with our families! I am so grateful for the true gospel and the hope and peace it brings at these kind of times.
I can't believe how many people helped us, prayed for us, served us and even made financial contributions! It has been overwhelming! I have never been on this end of all of the prayers and service before and it has really made me feel the love that the Savior has for all of us! I know that prayers are answered and I just can't thank everyone enough for your thoughts and prayers! They have truly been felt!! I know everyone says that but there have been so many tender mercies that I have witnessed in the last few weeks that the best way to describe it, is to know that there have been so many people praying for us!
I am going to stop sometime in the next couple days and just write down all the events as they took place so that I have it all down in writing and maybe I'll post it.

Anyway, I thought I would put some newer pictures on of last week and since my last post was pretty depressing - not that this one is much better really... oh-well.
(I borrowed my Moms Camera so that I wouldn't go insane!! It's just not natural to be without one when family is all together)

My Dad Passed away suddenly last Sunday

Yes - it was Father's Day of all days!
I am not sure I am ready to tell the whole story yet (more for the sake of time), but soon I think I will. Here is a small synopsis:
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=3546573

Here is a link to look on KSL.com and then I will write all the sad , and joyful details - because there are some!
I just have to thank you all for your many many thoughts and prayers at this rough time! We have never felt such an outpouring of love from our neighbors and friends!
His funeral will be Monday down in Fayette and then he'll be buried at Camp Williams and then we'll come to West Jordan for a Dinner.
I hate to ask anyone for donations at all - but people are asking all the time what they can do to help out. The biggest help would be any donations to the "Arthur Eves Memorial Fund" at any Wells Fargo Bank. My Mom is really stressed about how we'll pay for it all. I can't believe how much a funeral costs!! We have been going non stop ever since Dad went missing.
Well - I'll explain more later!

Cute Girls who Love Summer!

I was asked if these 2 pictures mean I found my camera - nope! I just wanted to add some and had these two I took in May. Still looking!!!

My Big Secrets

Ok - so I've been waiting to tell some secrets. One longer than the other - but you'll probably understand why I am scatterbrained and losing things!
First of all - I am pregnant!! This time I decided to wait to tell everyone. I am 10 weeks along and doing well - but TIRED! I have been sick up until the last week or so - but still nauseous over certain foods. I have not thrown up at all (knock on wood) and with the girls I did about 6-8 times with each (which is still good compared to some people so I am lucky) So, we're hoping that the changes means it's a boy this time - but we'll find out in 10 more weeks! I am due early in January. The total bummer about it - is that we won't be going on the Cruise that was all paid for by Ryan's Parents! I'll be too far along to get on the boat! So sad, but there will be other times! I told Ryan he could go but he knows me and he knows I'd probably be so sad while he was gone. :)

I have already seen the heart beat and the baby because my Dr. said that (after my miscarriage in the end of Jan.) I could come in at 8 wks to help my mind be at ease. It was so reassuring! And fun to see the baby. I guess I am not COMPLETELY out of the clear, but I feel great about it!

So the other big news is that today I was put in as the Ward Primary President! I've been really shocked all week long because I have never served in primary other than the last 2 months as a sunbeam teacher. Crazy! But, I am really excited and know that I'll be leaning on my 3 wonderful councilors a lot. I have a strong testimony that the Lord loves all of his little children and I feel blesses (overwhelmed -but blessed) to be able to oversee their learning of the gospel. I am going to be learning a lot! I've been feeling pretty inadequate but I keep reminding myself that the Lord has faith and trust in me and so I need to also.

So, crazy schedules just got crazier and life will fly by but I know that our home and family will be blessed greatly for the service.
So, here's another little plea for sending a prayer my direction!
( or any great activity / sharing time ideas would be great!)

Frustration

Ok - its been a while and the reason is a little too familiar!
I lost my camera!!! Yeah - our new one! I have been really distraught because it has to be here in the house! I think I am the queen of losing expensive electronics!! I am going to buy a beeper to attach to things so when you lose them you just push a button - like when you lose your car in the parking lot - don't tell me you've never done that!
Anyway, so it's been a little depressing to want to write and admit that I lost it! I am not sure why - but I guess because like I said before, a blog just isn't the same with out pictures.
But luckily not too much has happened this week to that I have missed taking pictures of.

Ok - one thing I really wish I could have documented through pictures!
On Tuesday I went to the temple and my neighbor was babysitting - when Ryan came to pick them up she started out saying: "I am so sorry!!" and when I got home Ryan said - "wait - there's been an incident..."
It turned out that Jacob - he's the same age as Emily found the plum colored finger nail polish and decided to paint Emily's hair. I didn't freak out though - figured we'd get it all out.
There was quite a bit there though - and I really thought it would take a few days to come out. But with tons of shampoo & conditioner and a fine tooth comb. It all came out within about 20 min. She was really good too - normally before I even touch her hair with the brush she says: "ouch, ouch"(thanks to big sister's example).

So anyway... PRAY for me to be able to find my camera! I have been praying and looking all week!! It has to be here and I am sure we'll find it. There's really no moola $$ to buy another one so we've got to find it.
