We had a fun Princess party for Kate's 5th B-day! Everyone looked so "fashion" as Kate would say! We had a red carpet and they got to strut their princess stuff all night long! We had so much fun!
Anyway, for the invitations I made cute little princess shoes - I got the idea from the Usborne "Princess things to make and do" book. Then we decorated frames and they got to decorate their Ice cream cones like princesses. I made the princess cake and think it turned out good.
You know, I have been planning this "princess" theme party since Kate was born so of course it seemed like we went all out, but really I have been buying things on clearance for a while! We had a lot of fun, now I think I may start the tradition to have smaller or family parties on non-benchmark b-days and have big parties on the big years. Or at least every other year, I love to have parties so it's hard to limit myself! This year was the first year that I had to limit myself on how many guests, it was tough! There are so so many more little friends I could have invited but we had to go with 7! Talk about tough! Anyway, it made for a little easier party that way - trust me though, even with 8 little girls it was nuts!
(I have to explain the little boy dressed up. That is Jacob - Emily's friend. His older sister Miya was invited and he really wanted to come walk her across the street and he just HAD to dress up too! We were glad because Emily was wearing that same dress but before the party started, she decided she did NOT want to wear it. Having him come got her back in it long enough for a picture! Too cute!)

What a great party! Thanks for including us! Jo had a fabulous time. I love all of her pictures.
Wish you were closer to get our girls together. Sounds like they love the same stuff.
So cute. The cake turned out AWESOME!
So much fun to have little girls... not sure if we will ever get that chance :)
